Trademark activities
Our normal trademark law activities include filing applications, conducting proceedings and monitoring the validity of trademarks.
We are able to handle all of our client’s trademark matters both domestically and internationally and have extensive experience in managing large trademark portfolios. We file national and international applications in accordance with the forms provided for in the Madrid Agreement and Protocol, and also file European Union trade mark applications at the EUIPO in Alicante. The basis of this activity is the ability to expertly recommend to the client the form of protection that is most advantageous for the case.
In cases of conflicts with trademarks of third parties, we file objections and invalidity petitions in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the EU and through foreign representatives in other countries.
We provide our clients with a comprehensive trademark protection process: filing, registration, renewal and monitoring. Our proprietary computer software alerts us to upcoming renewal deadlines. We can then present our clients with a list of trademark renewals that need to be done in the next calendar year.
Our success in this area is based on the experience of our individual patent attorneys. For foreign cases, we coordinate our activities with foreign attorneys. We consider this activity to be very important and pay particular attention to it. For our clients, we always prepare several strategies for proceeding with a recommendation of our preferred optimal solution.
